I may be a 'self-hating ugly' but I would never develop "military robots that could feed on corpses."

If you are ever at the post office eye fucking a cute girl and she tries to look away, you could assume she is disgusted by your actions.... that is until she EYE FUCKS the guy with tats holding the door open for her on the way out of the post office.

Then you understand that she really doesn't hate being 'eye raped,' she just hates being eye raped by you ...Mr. Ugly.

Which I get. Because I hate ugly people too.

Maybe you have no idea what this "eye rape" post has to do with the government developing robots for the military that feast on the dead bodies of slain soldiers, but I imagine that the only people developing such a weapon were self-hating uglies that have it out for the human race.

A message to my Nerdy friends in the weapons development arena
:

YOU KNOW BETTER!...You guys spent every Friday for the last two years watching Terminator-The Sarah Connor Chronicles. You have to know what those robots are going to do us.

AN URGENT MESSAGE TO ALL HOT GIRLS

Please allow the ugly guy in line behind you at the post office to eye rape you. Eye rape is all ugly men have. Well... that and the hand job we give ourselves later.

If you don't allow eye rape you may just allow Mankind to be exterminated. And that's on YOU hot girls of the world.

All on you!

Watch THE SKY, Dragon Flies Stalk Us.

BEWARE OF THE DRAGON FLY

Have you noticed that Tom Selleck is parked outside your house? It may not be because he's learned you have a fetish for facial hair. It may be that you are under surveillance from the new Dragon Fly robots, tiny remote spy devices developed by Homeland Security, and used to gather information on peacenicks and the evil doers, at least that is according to the Washington Post.

Quest was punished for not spying on you!

The Rocky Mountain News reports that: "The National Security Agency and other government agencies retaliated against Qwest because the Denver telco refused to go along with a phone spying program..."

DEMOCRATS LET SPYING BY NSA CONTINUE

ComputerWorld is almost as disappointed as I am.

"Privacy lovers who thought the Democrats would put an end to the controversial NSA wiretapping and Internet-tapping program should feel let down today. The Democrats are lining up to let the NSA continue to wiretap and read mail without court approval.
The New York Times reports that Democratic proposals "would maintain for several years the type of broad, blanket authority for NSA eavesdropping that the administration secured in August for six months."

Not only that, but one of the Democrat's proposals would give telecom companies retroactive immunity from prosecution for participating in the program. Telecom companies are being sued by privacy groups for turning over private data. If some Democrats have their way, the telecoms would be off the hook. "

Today is Update Day for the Surveillance Society

The Bush administration has issued an administrative directive allowing the president to seize near dictatorial power in case of an emergency.

The UK is planning a program of RFID chips to monitor hospital patients , students, children

Greg Palast is reporting that he was given 500 of the missing e-mails from the Whitehouse that prove that the Republicans use "caging" lists to discourage and deny blacks the right to vote.

Bots with Brains: Future Robotic Overlords?

"In 1981, Kenji Urada hopped a safety fence at a Kawasaki plant to carry out maintenance work on a robot. While working on the machine, the robot reached out and pushed 37-year-old Japanese factory worker into a grinder with its powerful hydraulic arm. "

Robots Will Get Rights

The United Kingdom, home of the world's most surveilled people, have just issued a death warrant on the human race.

“If we make conscious robots they would want to have rights and they probably should,” said Henrik Christensen, director of the Centre of Robotics and Intelligent Machines at the Georgia Institute of Technology."

"Visions of the status of robots around 2056 have emerged from one of 270 forward-looking papers sponsored by Sir David King, the UK government’s chief scientist. The paper covering robots’ rights was written by a UK partnership of Outsights, the management consultancy, and Ipsos Mori, the opinion research organisation."

Robots...Robots ...Robots

Metafilter devotes an entire paragraph of links about robots.

"Sherry Turkle, who used to believe in the benefits of robot pets, has changed her tune and now "finds human-machine love unsettling (pdf)". Tyrell:"We began to recognize in them a strange obsession. After all, they are emotionally inexperienced, with only a few years in which to store up the experiences which you and I take for granted. If we gift them with a past, we create a cushion or a pillow for their emotions, and consequently, we can control them better." Was he referring to us or them?"

Sneaky Robots are gaining on us

Don't look back in the mirror. If you do you may notice just how fast the Robot Uprising is approaching!

I haven't been keeping you up to date on all the horrific things out there, but that is just because it is all too scary and because nobody cares.

And since I want to be famous I normally will keep to posting about things you care about.

Now for the stuff you don't:

The Computer has over taken the human brain as the fastest and largest instrument of computational power. The Psych Pundit explains:

"As you may know, the brain is exquisitely designed to process information. Its array of 100 billion neurons, interconnected in a lattice of 100 trillion synapses (connections), is capable of processing an estimated 100 trillion pieces of information every second. This is an unfathomably large amount of computation."

None of my readers knew that Mr. Fancy Pants Scientist. We only knew that K-Fed had written something very obscene to Ms. Spears on a bathroom wall.

"For the first time in history, the human brain was supplanted as the most powerful computer on earth. That distinction is now held by an IBM supercomputer known as Blue-Gene/L, which clocked in this past October at an astonishing 280 trillion operations per second. It has about three times more processing capacity than the human brain!"

Luckily enough for us all that computational power is not going to waste, but instead is being used to improve our national nuclear missile arsenal.

Over at Robots.net they have a link that showcases a militarized robot that can choose to kill you or not. And if you think you can defeat Robots with guns, you are dumber than marrying an unemployed backup dancer without a prenuptial agreement. That's because Robots can now heal themselves.

We are all fucked. Not as fucked as K-Fed now that he will have to survive on his own. Because some of us still have skills the robots will desire after the overthrow. Me? I am gonna be a love slave. I have always wanted to be a "house" human.

Robot safety.

“Security, safety and sex are the big concerns,” says Henrik Christensen, chairman of the European Robotics Network at the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and one of the organisers of the new robo-ethics group."

"Should robots that are strong enough or heavy enough to crush people be allowed into homes? Is “system malfunction” a justifiable defence for a robotic fighter plane that contravenes the Geneva Convention and mistakenly fires on innocent civilians? And should robotic sex dolls resembling children be legally allowed?"

Robots are getting closer to being human...now they can 'feel.'

From Nature.com

"Robot sensors go touchy-feelyTouch-sensitive 'skin' will give robots the sense they lack.

Could robots become well acquainted with the touch of a velvet hand? GettyRobots are one step closer to having a human sense of touch, thanks to a thin, flexible film that mimics the sensitivity of a human finger. The device may become useful in the next generation of robots and in automated tools used for microsurgery."

If they feel they can experience pain. That's about the only good news here. Soon we won't be able to tell robots apart from the humans. Soon attempting to distinguish the two will be thought of as 'old fashioned.'

Europeans playing with fire: "Computers capable of developing their own language and culture."

More troubling news from the warfront. I am not talking about Iraq, but something bigger. The battle to be the next dominant species on planet Earth. It's either gonna be computers or people. I just don't get why we are all in such a rush to program our own deaths.

I just reported a few days ago about robot machines with 8 giant tentacles, now word comes from Cognews that the Europeans are funding a project to create "a thoroughly 21st-century brave new world -- one populated by randomly generated software beings, capable of developing their own language and culture."
