A note to all my readers and friends

Dear readers,

I am in a bit of a transition period - relocating my life and all. Posting will become sporadic at best. Friends who are looking to follow my life can request a myspace link-longtime readers will be bored by the family friendly language but interested folks can request the link-if you pass inspection you will get it!

I hate to give up a 5 google pank rating but I may end my projects and start over fresh.

Europeans playing with fire: "Computers capable of developing their own language and culture."

More troubling news from the warfront. I am not talking about Iraq, but something bigger. The battle to be the next dominant species on planet Earth. It's either gonna be computers or people. I just don't get why we are all in such a rush to program our own deaths.

I just reported a few days ago about robot machines with 8 giant tentacles, now word comes from Cognews that the Europeans are funding a project to create "a thoroughly 21st-century brave new world -- one populated by randomly generated software beings, capable of developing their own language and culture."

FBI Secret Probes: 3,501 Targets in the U.S.

ABC News on the internet is running a story The Blotter that the Patriot act is being used to get phone records of reporters who leak classified info to the public.

From Crooks and Liars:

Scarborough: "It is a chilling scenario. Had this alleged power been used during the Nixon administration. Deep Throat would have been exposed before Watergate erupted."

U.S. history lesson: stop meddling - Los Angeles Times

Can you guess how many countries the U. S. has toppled over the last hundred years? Did you guess 14? The L.A. Times reports.

U.S. history lesson: stop meddling - Los Angeles Times:

"In the last 100 years, the U.S. has ousted the governments of at least 14 countries and forcibly intervened in dozens of others -- to what end?"

'Sunny' Will Rise Again at FX; 'Starved' Cut Off - TV.com Tracking

It's only half good news to report, I figured both series were dead meat-sorry pun intended for fans of Starved. Starved is probably the 'edgiest' show on a network.

Ya, I just used the word edgy to describe something, maybe I should apply to become a TV executive.

Toledo Tales: 7-Eleven Clerk Pissed That No One Notices His Brilliance

Some guy has my new job in Florida.

Toledo Tales: 7-Eleven Clerk Pissed That No One Notices His Brilliance

The blog is basically a spoof like the Onion.

Garrity says that, despite his "obvious genius," he gets no respect from customers, his coworkers, or even his employer."I am 16 credits and a dissertation away from my PhD in early modern German Philosophy, yet you'd think I was just another lackey around here," he mused. "It is clear that the citizens of the world wouldn't know brilliance if it bit them on the proverbial ass."

The guy is obviously pretty smart, I am 32 credits and a disertation away from a Ph.d in middle German Philosophy (Think Hegel and Marx), so he's even smarter than me.

Albinos boycott The Da Vinci Code!

Oh no, Tom Hanks must be shivering in his boots! 18,000 Albinos -(I capitalize becuase I like to think of them as being from their own country)- not going to see your film must really frighten you.

Albinos are protesting "what they call 'hateful' stereotypes assigned to Albinos in literature and film." But did you see the movie with Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn? That Albino was pretty nuts and you usually can't fake that on screen.

Personally, I don't think you should make fun of Albinos, as they are in no way cross-eyed, but apparently there is now some big fuss and an emerging Albino's rights movement. I can hear the chants now.

No more Sun, No more Sun
Albinos want some fun

Also, I have heard that calling people an Albino is insensitive.

Actually I am kinda surprised that Albinos have time to get "politically active" with all the sunblock scrubbing on they have to do.

Why work when it's easier to live on 250,000 dollars after disfigurement.

Here is a funny post from the Drug Nazi:

Your Pharmacist May Hate You: Great News! I May Get To Save My Feet, Or At Least One Of Them

He is deeply mired in the alienation that crappy jobs with crappier pay can give you.

You can't miss my pledge in the comments section either. It's worth the price of admission. Which I guess is free.

Judge: Web-Surfing Worker Can't Be Fired - Yahoo! News

Judge: Web-Surfing Worker Can't Be Fired - Yahoo! News:

"Saying surfing the web is equivalent to reading a newspaper or talking on the phone, an administrative law judge has suggested that only a reprimand is appropriate as punishment for a city worker accused of failing to heed warnings to stay off the Internet. "

You see, I totally should have sued them Maricopa County ass-hats.
